Twas the week before summer camp and all through Camp Allen, the piney woods shook with delight, down to Pool 2's last gallon. Campsite 1 gleefully shouted to Campsite 2, "I'm too excited to sleep!" And Campsite 3 has been prepping bunks all week. "Everybody Dance Now" was heard all through camp because the horses were having such party that it shook the ropes courses. The Blob returned to his summer home and said hello to his deck while The Iceburg resumed the throne above his reflection (for which he likes to constantly check.) Mrs. Jumping Pillow had a bubble bath and life jackets assumed their position on the hooks, everything was right on track when storm came... and it was one for the books! Lake Coffield swallowed up the dock and Lake Goddard grew a waterfall, trees and roads fought hard but the storm gave them a mighty brawl. But Camp Allen has heart! So to the rain and thunder and lightening and wind and tornado... Camp said, "NO!" The lakes rolled up their sleeves to clean out the debris while the roads made amends and a pink sky opened up above the trees. "Without challenge we'd never grow," said the Blob, "Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow!" So back to preparing camp everyone went, counting down the minutes until campers arrive to have fun with no limits! No matter the weather, it's the most wonderful time of the year, thunder or rain, we will be of good cheer! Come one come all, we're ready for campers at Camp Allen, our piney woods shake with delight and sodas fill Canteen by the gallon! Comments are closed.
