Endurance is all challenge, all the time--with some good camp food of course! Endurance Family Retreat is designed to strengthen family relationships in a new way. Over the course of a weekend, families work through obstacles of all kinds, including ice breakers, team building, the rock wall, the leap-of-faith, canoe-stargazing, and the Adventure Summit. Camp Allen Program Manager, Becky Heath, says watching families deepen bonds is her favorite part of the weekend: "I think seeing the camaraderie develop between families is really cool. By the time they were at the rock-wall, parents were cheering on their own kids and others. The support for others is so visible on the ropes course and it's one of the most powerful things to take away from it." We loved hosting families for this retreat and we love seeing them make new memories as they do something new and challenging!  |
