It was a starry night indeed at The Junior League of Houston! From warm greetings between friends to great support for Camp Allen and even to Rev. Patrick Miller's hilarity behind the mic as auctioneer, the mood in the air was light and joyful at last night's Starry Nights Houston Benefit for Camp Allen. We had a sold out ballroom with over 300 guests come out to help raise support, and through donations and the live auction, over $275,000 was raised for programs and summer camp scholarships at Camp Allen! We feel extremely encouraged and utterly blessed. Special thanks to our honorees, Meg and Steve Rice and Kathy and Tom Tellepsen, for all the ways they have supported and continue to support Camp Allen. We are very grateful for you and your families. Many thanks also to our event co-chairs Tom and Carol Chaney for organizing an amazing evening. We'd like to also mention and thank Julia Case, Kate Cook, Karen Lea, Pam Lemire, Stephanie Herrscher, Lorraine Horwitz, Keely Rogers, Cynthia Thomas, and Chaparral Needlework for thoughtfully and lovingly creating and donating the beautiful handmade tree skirt that was auctioned off for $5,000! Thank you for enabling Camp Allen to continue this work and outreach for the Lord. Endless gratitude to all who came and gave - you are a huge part of this ministry! Comments are closed.
