Starry nights austin

Oh, what a night! Last Thursday evening was quite literally one for the books. Friends and family of Camp Allen camp to Seminary of the Southwest in Austin to celebrate and fundraise for all of the wonderful things going on in our piney woods, including raising money for summer camp scholarships. [ Side note, summer camp is just over one month away! ] The evening began with margaritas and mingling on the patio under a beautiful Austin, Texas golden hour sunset. After moving inside for dinner, we were able to introduce a new thing this year: mobile giving. Attendees were able to donate via cell phone and all could watch the screen as our goal got closer and closer to being attained. When came time to honor our honoree Fr. Michael Wyckoff, he couldn't help but use the time to bolster attendees in the mission of mentoring others in their walk with Christ, concluding with "Camp Allen is a ministry of encouragement." And certainly we're feeling extremely encouraged and so grateful ourselves, because through donations and auction items, we reached a record high in Austin this year totaling over $85,000! Yay God and thank you Camp Allen supporters and donors!
