Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Camp Enterprise for their 31st annual camp! Here is an inside look: Camp Enterprise is a three-day immersive experience in business, entrepreneurship, teamwork, ethics, and free-market enterprise for 11th grade students across Greater Houston. The retreat is sponsored and facilitated by the Rotary Club of Houston and their Community Partners. In 1986 the Rotary Club of Houston designed Camp Enterprise as a practical introduction for exceptional high school students to the free market economy. The three-day experience of instruction, competition, and teamwork, incorporates interactions with business executives and entrepreneurs while students come alive to the challenges and opportunities of ethical and excellent business practices. Their mission is to provide hard working students with an unforgettable and life changing experience that inspires them to live life in service above themselves. The goal of Camp Enterprise is to produce the most responsible and competent business leaders imaginable by spreading the ethos of Rotary to future generations. Camp Enterprise Chairman, Nathan Allen stated, “We choose Camp Allen because the atmosphere is second to none, the amenities are remarkable, the service is friendly and professional, and there is no other place where we could better fulfill our mission and goals.” Camp Allen is blessed to host groups like Camp Enterprise that align closely with our mission and values.
