Holiday in the Pines is here and we are so glad that you are joining us! Below is all the information to plan your fun-filled holiday weekend at Camp Allen!

registration & Activity sign ups
Registration & hotel check-in begins at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 10th in the conference center lobby. Refer to your email confirmation for your family's confirmed activity sign ups. If you need to make any changes, please inquire at the activity table in the lobby.

- We encourage guests to dress comfortably during your stay.
- Feel free to wear pajamas to the movie on Friday night!
- Remember to pack gloves for snow, and perhaps a spare change of clothes if you plan to sled.
- For added fun, wear your favorite Ugly Christmas Sweater or festive attire to the Christmas Dinner on Saturday night.
- For the Sunday tea, you are welcome bring hats, boas, & gloves if you like.
- Jeans are required for horseback riding.
- Long shorts or pants are advised for Adventure Summit participants.
- You will have from Saturday morning to Sunday at noon to find as many snowballs as you can, hidden around the Camp Allen grounds! Areas snowballs may be found include any space where activities will be happening! The gift shop and the chapel will not have any snowballs. Some snowballs may be found using clues that may be picked up at the Activity Table Saturday morning. Points will be given based on the following rubric:
- Rudolph’s Nose: 45 points
- Snowballs with Faces: 25 points
- Yeti Sized Snowballs: 20 points
- Large Snowballs: 15 points
- Medium Snowballs: 10 points
- Small Snowballs: 5 points
- Mini Snowballs: 2 points
- Elf Sized Snowballs (red & white): 1 point
DO NOT look for snowballs prior to the start of the scavenger hunt! If you are found looking for them Friday night you will be disqualified! - Everyone is invited to join our gingerbread decorating contest. In room G1A&B, you will be provided with plates, milk cartons, royal icing, and tons of candy, sprinkles, etc. to embellish your house. With the exception of the milk cartons / take out containers, all items used must be edible (in other words- no hot glue!).
We will have three categories.- Children 9 and under
- Children 10-18 (Teen)
- Adults & Families
If parents/ guardians want to help children with a gingerbread house, that is wonderful, but it will be entered in the Family category. Those wishing to join the competition will need to drop off their completed houses in room G4 between 5:00-5:30 PM on Saturday. The winners will be announced in the dining area Saturday evening after dinner at 7:15 PM. - We haven chosen Toys for Tots as our 2021 outreach program. This program is coordinated by the Marine Corp and they provide toys for boys and girls of all ages in need. If you and your family would like to participate, bring an UNWRAPPED toy to Holiday in the Pines. Note: they have a high need for gifts for teens. Gender neutral toys are also a good option: books, crayons, handheld games, etc. We will have a designated area in the chapel where you can deliver your donations Friday evening…thank you in advance for your support!
- The front desk is staffed from 7:30 AM until 11:00 PM daily, and a manager on duty is available during these hours.
- We will also have a nurse on duty should you need medical assistance.
- If you have an after-hours emergency, please call 979-209-2125.
- If you need additional towels or sundries, sports equipment, or board games, you may check them out from the front desk.
- Masks are recommended indoors.
- We ask that you arrive to meals within the first 30 minutes as we have staff that will be serving you. Each family will have a reserved dining table for the entire weekend.
- Please also note that due to our TABC license, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the Conference Center buildings or outdoor common areas.
