Summer Camp Scholarships

Camp Allen's summer camp program can be a priceless gift. Many are unable to attend summer camp for financial reasons. Camp Allen's scholarship fund matches funds from the applicant, and their affiliated church; however, each year those needing assistance exceed the scholarship funds available. Camp Allen has one of the largest summer camp programs in the country. The tuition for one week of camp in 2011 is $510. Over 375 campers annually will receive financial support from the summer camp scholarship fund.

Read with care the words of one parent seeking a scholarship for her child:

"I am requesting this scholarship for my son because he really benefited from your camp last year. In sending him to camp, I was hoping that he would grow as an individual, become more independent, and that his self-esteem would be lifted. What he gained from camp last summer were not only new friends, but he came home the happiest child I have ever seen. He was a new person, and the Christian environment really helped. He had positive role models during camp, and he made lifetime friends he is hoping to see again."

Please help support our youth ministry and make a donation of any amount. For donation related questions, please contact Lauren Day at . Your gift will be deeply appreciated by a child whose life might be changed forever by Camp Allen.

General Donations

While we are most grateful for scholarship donations, a non-profit organization has many needs to be able to provide the programs and services for the camper beyond its normal operating budget. You may make a tax-deductible gift as a general donation or undesignated donation. Examples of how undesignated gifts will assist us: a portable sound system for the campsites, an emergency procedure for one of our horses, new hoses for the fire pumper truck, maintenance for our chapel organ, etc.

Capital Campaign

Thanks to your generous support, the Blazing Trails Capital Campaign has reached its $2.3 million pledge goal. At the same time, one can easily imagine the wear and tear inflicted upon the camp’s buildings and grounds by its 42,000 annual guests. We invite you to make your mark on Camp Allen for generations to come by supporting our Capital Campaign. Capital improvement donations of $300 will receive a personalized “Stepping Stone” on our piney woods path. Donations of $1000 will merit four engraved Stepping Stones or one engraved pewter leaf on our Giving Tree, located in the Tellepsen Dining room.
