Summer Camp Scholarships
Camp Allen's summer camp program can be a priceless gift. Many are unable to attend summer camp for financial reasons. Camp Allen's scholarship fund matches funds from the applicant, and their affiliated church; however, each year those needing assistance exceed the scholarship funds available. The tuition for one week of camp in 2015 is $576. Over 375 campers annually will receive financial support from the summer camp scholarship fund.
Read with care the words of one parent seeking a scholarship for her child:
"I am requesting this scholarship for my son because he really benefited from your camp last year. In sending him to camp, I was hoping that he would grow as an individual, become more independent, and that his self-esteem would be lifted. What he gained from camp last summer were not only new friends, but he came home the happiest child I have ever seen. He was a new person, and the Christian environment really helped. He had positive role models during camp, and he made lifetime friends he is hoping to see again."
Please help support our youth ministry and make a donation of any amount. For donation related questions, please contact Lauren Day at . Your gift will be deeply appreciated by a child whose life might be changed forever by Camp Allen.Donate Online
While we are most grateful for scholarship donations, a non-profit organization has many needs to be able to provide the programs and services for the camper beyond its normal operating budget. You may make a tax-deductible gift as a general donation or undesignated donation. Examples of how undesignated gifts will assist us: a portable sound system for the campsites, an emergency procedure for one of our horses, new hoses for the fire pumper truck, maintenance for our chapel organ, etc.
Camp Allen was established in 1921 and will celebrate 100 years in 2021. The camp is a nationally recognized recreational, educational, and spiritual retreat center. The Centennial Fund was established to keep the camp in a leadership position for years to come. From the Long Term Plan, the Camp Allen Board selected 21 projects to complete over the next seven years. Groundbreaking and land clearing has begun on the camper health center while other major projects may take several years. These projects focus on the future of the camp and are a result of listening carefully to guest feedback. We welcome multi-year and one time pledges of all sizes. Our campaign leaders would be happy to meet with you to discuss your interest and options.
